A San Antonio police officer was shot and killed during a traffic stop earlier today.
According to CNN, Detective Benjamin Marconi, a 20 year veteran of the department, was writing a ticket in his vehicle when a man came up and shot him twice in the head.

There is a manhunt underway and authorities have issued the following description for the shooter:
Police issued new description: black man, 5'7", has beard, hoody, baggy pants, last seen driving this car.

San Antonio police chief William McManus gave a press conference, where he announced that the deceased officer’s name.
McManus said the perpetrator is still at large, and there is an ongoing effort to find him. The crime scene remains under heavy police occupation.
