The expertise and techniques of world-class photographers are extraordinary. They always give life to every photo that they captured, providing people magical moments and inspiration.
Aali Baaba Chrissy Sparks, 34, from Birmingham, offers her clients the chance to feel sexy and glamorous in editorial-style boudoir shoots.
These incredible before and after show how make-up, hairstyling, clever lighting and editing can turn any woman into an alluring temptress.
In fact, the transformations are so dramatic that the women are almost unrecognizable from their everyday selves.
Chrissy has photographed thousands of women since opening Dollhouse Photography four years ago and launched Vamp Boudoir Photography in January 2017.
Award-winning snapper Chrissy, says: ‘I want everyday women to have access to a full photoshoot experience and magazine cover style images that models usually do.
‘Through my work, I celebrate women of all shapes and sizes and believe that with the right posing, lighting and styling, I can bring out the best in a woman’s beauty.
After the photoshoot I work on the photographs in post-production.
‘I remove cellulite, muffin tops, scars, bruises, spots and uneven skin tone.
‘I also reduce lines & wrinkles, smooth the silhouette and enhance muscle tone.’
Chrissy’s Birmingham studio boasts an impressive wardrobe, with £200,000 worth of lingerie sets, corsets, Basques, gowns, dresses, accessories, costumes and furniture.
She says: ‘The women have a huge collection of garments to choose from in sizes six to 20 plus.
‘Then our make-up and hair stylists give each client an impressive make over, which can take up to two hours.
‘During the shoot I work on finding the right angle and lighting – even the most famously beautiful Hollywood film stars have their ‘good side’ and special lighting requirements.
‘I pride myself on being able to identify the best about the client’s face and body and capture that in my work in whatever theme the client chooses.’
Chrissy and her small team of photographers spend between 2 and 10 hours on each photoshoot and transform around eight clients a week into flawless beauties.
She says: ‘Almost all the women that come to us are very nervous at first, but my team and I work hard to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for them.
‘Many women want a set of beautiful photographs in fabulous surroundings and garments as a keepsake for their own satisfaction and as a confidence booster.
‘Some have a photoshoot as a gift from their partner for an anniversary, pre-wedding gift, Christmas or birthday.’
Chrissy adds: ‘Our clients have flown to us from as far as New Zealand and we have regular European clients that fly in for shoots.
‘I sometimes have clients that struggle with a disability in their everyday life and want to see themselves in their best light.
‘I love what I do and I am so passionate about getting the right results.
‘The reactions have been everything from bursting into tears of delight, thank you cards and gifts, and many heartwarming accounts of how the shoot has boosted their self-esteem and confidence.
‘Seeing the women so happy with their images makes the long hours and huge personal investment into the business worth every bit.’
