The staff, food, rules, prices … each one has its own unique culture that often seems peculiar to outsiders. Maybe they won’t let you get the mayonnaise on the side or insist on ringing a cowbell every time servers get a good tip, but either way, we put up with it for a meal we don’t have to cook or clean up.
