An act on the NBC reality show “America’s Got Talent” went horribly wrong Tuesday night when a contestant shooting a flaming arrow missed her target, hitting another contestant in the neck.
Contestants Ryan Stock and his fiancee Amber Lynn Walker were at the end of their act when Stock inserted a long narrow object with a bullseye on the end down his throat for Walker to then shoot the flaming arrow toward. But Walker missed her target, instead striking Stock in the neck.
The scary moment brought the house to a deafening silence, leaving the four judges with expressions of horror on their faces.
“Is everything OK? Are you OK?” host Nick Cannon asked the contestant. “I’m OK, I’m OK,” Stock replied.
Cannon later told the audience that Stock had been examined by a medical professional and that he did, in fact, “appear to be OK.”
Stock took to Twitter after the incident, calling it a “very unfortunate mechanical failure.”
“I am very fortunate to walk away from it,” he tweeted.
