Michael Moore Reveals What He Plans To Do To President Trump

Filmmaker and Trump critic Michael Moore has published what he calls a “10-point action plan to stop Trump” on his personal website.

Moore, who has called on the president to resign over his alleged ties to Russia, hopes that his plan will “succeed in halting the dark force that is Trump.”

“We can tie him up in knots at every turn, and eventually, we can bring him down,” he writes.

The first point urges Trump’s opponents to call their representatives in Congress every day.

“I know from firsthand experience the impact it has,” Moore writes. “These politicians freak out if they get just 10 calls on an issue. Imagine them getting 10,000!”

He also encourages people to visit their representative’s local office once a month, to “add even more pressure.”

In addition to putting pressure on members of Congress, Moore suggests that people create their own rapid response teams to share news stories and organize events. He also urges them to join official organizations like Planned Parenthood and Democratic Socialists of America.

“They will keep you informed of national actions and fight for us in court,” he writes.

Citing figures from the Women’s March that occurred on Jan. 21, Moore indicates that similar mass demonstrations are needed going forward.

“It’s critical that large numbers of us continue to march, protest, sit-in, and be very visible,” he writes, adding, “Our mass presence reminds them the people didn’t elect Trump. And it is good for each of us to operate in concert with each other, to feel the solidarity and the hope.”

Although he acknowledges that it’s the “last thing” people want to do, Moore suggests that Trump’s detractors run for office.

“This is only going to get fixed when you and I decide we are willing to put in our time — even if it is a brief time — and run for office,” he writes. “I ran when I was 18 and got elected. You can, too.”

In his ninth point, Moore tells his followers to “become the media.”

“Stop complaining about the media, stop wishing they were something they’re not, find the ones who are doing a good job and then start your own “media empire” by sharing their work and your work on the internet,” he writes. “Use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and other social media sites to spread news and information.”

And lastly, Moore says the key to undermining Trump is making fun of him.

“Trump’s Achilles heel is his massively thin skin,” he writes. “He can’t take mockery…. Use your sense of humor and share it with people. Get them to do the same.”

“I truly believe the final tipping point for Trump will be when he implodes from all the laughter — the mocking, the unbearable ridicule of tens of millions of Americans that will discombobulate him and force him out of the White House,” he adds.

In a recent interview with CNN, Moore said Americans shouldn’t be surprised by the actions Trump took during his first month in office and predicted that he will make good on all his campaign promises.

“They’re not done with anything they said they were going to do,” Moore said, according to Alternet. “Anybody who’s still in their bubble thinking, ‘It won’t be that bad’ — trust me, it will be as bad as that and worse.”
