Iraqi Man Claiming His Mom Died Because Of Trump’s Ban LIED, Or Maybe He “Mis-Remembered” Like Hillary

Iraqi-American man Mike Hager lied about his mother dying in Iraq after being denied entry to the U.S. because of President Donald Trump’s Friday travel executive order, her imam told Fox2.

Hager’s mother was reportedly ill with kidney disease before she flew back to Iraq to visit family members. She perished there on Jan. 22, according to her imam. Trump did not even sign his travel suspension from seven terror-rife countries until Jan 27.

Hager originally told Fox2 he was flying back to the U.S. with his sick mother when she was denied boarding a flight to the U.S. Hager’s mother had lived in the U.S. since 1995 and was reportedly a green card holder.

“The immigration told us that the President of the United States put an order right now – you guys cannot go,” his story went. He continued, “I had to put my mom back on the wheelchair and take her back and call the ambulance and she was very very upset. She knew right there if we send her back to the hospital she’s going to pass away – she’s not going to make it,” adding that she died later that day.

“She’s gone because of him,” he declared.

Hager also claimed that the remainder of his family who lived in the U.S. were also denied boarding. He told Fox2 he fled Iraq during the Gulf War, but returned there as an interpreter for U.S. forces between 2003 and 2007.

The original Fox2 story now notes, “Questions have been raised about the validity of Mike Hager’s claims that his mother died while waiting for approval to come to Michigan. FOX 2 news is working to resolve the questions about Hager’s story. We’ll update this page with further details.”

Hager did not respond to Fox2’s request for an update.
