We all know that dogs are smarter than they seem. With the right training, they can do very complicated tricks including obstacle courses. Not only can dogs perform tricks, but they can serve as therapy animals and even help protect the populace as police dogs. They are truly amazing animals with varying degrees of talent.
But as you’ll see in the video below, this family’s yellow Labrador retriever is certainly one crafty dog. Because he kept getting into the freezer and refrigerator, the family decided it was high time to set up a hidden camera. In less than 4-minutes of video footage, you’ll watch as Adam Montiel’s yellow lab finds his way into the food storage. It’s quite amazing.
Because Montiel is a radio host, he knew a thing or two about entertainment. And because his dog kept opening the fridge, he decided to film how he got into it. So, Adam set up a camera at his San Luis Obispo, California home and caught the dog in the act.
“Allie, our 12 year old Yellow Labrador was getting into the fridge and freezer. We couldn’t figure out how she was doing it, so I hooked up a go-pro to find out,” Montiel said.
That’s when Montiel saw the inexplicable. This dog has super powers. Now he only needs to train her how to grab him a beer when he doesn’t want to get up during the game. But it seems like Allie didn’t figure out the amazing trick all by herself.
“My girlfriend taught Allie to open a drawer where Allie’s toys were, we didn’t even think that the freezer itself is a big giant drawer…with food!. But how she opened the doors with her mouth, and at the hinges was incredible to us. Yes we feed her, she is a very smart and loving soul, and we love her more than anything.”
