Two suspects are wanted for violently raping a woman to ‘teach her a lesson about dating black men’.
Police in Clermont, Florida are searching for Justin Akeen Fedrick, 27, and Keon Dellshai Gordon, 26, in connection with the alleged June 22 rape, reports the Orlando Sentinel.
The victim said she was “just hanging out with friends” at a home in the 1000 block of Disston Avenue when a friend, Rodney “Coop” Cooper, pushed her inside the home and into a bedroom, according to the report.
That’s when Cooper locked the bedroom door and stood guard, said Clermont Police spokesman Sgt. Shane Strickland.
Fedrick and Gordon are accused of then sexually battering the woman, according to the report. The woman said she “attempted to fight them, but they were too strong.”
According to the report, the men told her, “We’re going to teach you a lesson about dating a black man and white [women] don’t mean [expletive] in this town.”
When they were finished, the men told the victim they would “make it ten times worse next time” if she went to the police, according to the report.
The victim then ran from the home, cutting through backyards “because she was afraid they would come after her,” according to the police report.
Her boyfriend then called police after receiving a text from the victim shortly before 3 a.m. stating she was “bleeding and limping somewhere in the neighborhood,” according to the report. He called a second time after having heard from the woman again, and deputies found her in the 900 block of Disston Avenue.
Cooper was arrested on a kidnapping charge and was held on a $50,000 bond the next day but police have not been able to locate the other men.
Police have issued warrants for the arrests of Fedrick and Gordon, Strickland said. Both are considered armed and dangerous, and have histories of violence.
Fedrick is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds with dark hair and eyes. Gordon is about 5 feet 7 inches tall and 140 pounds with dark hair and eyes. They are known to frequent Davenport, southern Lake County and western Orange County, Strickland said.
