SICK: Mom Facing Backlash After Creating “Sexy Summer Camp” For Teens!

SICK: Mom Facing Backlash After Creating “Sexy Summer Camp” For Teens!

It seems Liberals have lost their minds…

Remember when summer camp used to be camping and hiking, swimming, and canoeing? Days were filled with fun outdoor activities while nights included campfires, singing, and smores. Yes, these types of summer camps are still out there, but one in Eastern Kentucky is probably the furthest from the norm.

A group of sex education activists in rural Appalachia has been inundated with threats after a Manhattan Institute journalist reported their work.

“Sexy Summer Camp” is the name of a summer camp in Kentucky run by progressive activists that offered masturbation classes and lessons on having sex on drugs to people of all ages, including children.

Christopher Rufo, who specialized in the Culture Wars, March 16 wrote more about the team behind Sexy Sex Ed and their online ‘sexy summer camp’ highlights from last year.

Rufo received his own schedule, and wrote that sessions for teens 13 and older included lessons on ‘sex liberation’ gender exploration,” “BDSM,” “being a sex worker,” “self-managed abortion,” and “sexual activity while using legal and illegal drugs.”‘

Sexy Sex Ed was founded in 2012 in Whitesburg, Kentucky to provide sex education to youth in rural Appalachia.

Rufo notes that the founder, Tanya Turner, ‘calls herself a “female, plump, lesbian, magical pleasure worker” who was raised in a “Cowen-like mountain matriarchy” by “a host of witches women” and ” Crystal”. “Sex Toy” and “Tarot” in her teaching.’

Turner has run numerous events across Appalachia while partnering with regional entities such as Southern Power Fund, Chorus Foundation, Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky, and Rise for Healthy Life.

In fact, in one disturbing video shared on social media, Turner explains how she encouraged her four-year-old nephews to practice masturbation because she believes a toddler touching themselves in a sexual way is healthy and normal.

“‘Masturbation is really healthy, and I recommend it to people of all ages. All ages,” Turner said. “As soon as my nephews could talk, they were doing that.”

After Rufo published his critical piece about Turner’s camp, the Sexy Sex Ed organization faced a lot of harassment and threats.

Rufo then takes on the summer camp counselors. One calls herself a “radical queer mountain woman,” while another says she is a “young, fat, differently-abled, queer community organizer” whose goal is to fight “for inclusivity for people like her.” Another summer camp counselor identifies as a “young, nonbinary queer” who “spends time co-facilitating sex education workshops for fellow Appalachian youth.”

Rufo points out that equally as troubling is that the summer camp was open to anyone over the age of 13. This means that children barely in their teens were discussing graphic sexual acts and practices with adults and instructors in their twenties, thirties, and forties.

Rufo’s attacks have taken their toll on the summer camp group. Sexy Sex Ed is fearing for their lives. They state they have received numerous death threats and have had to go into hiding because of the backlash they face.

“Since last Tuesday, Sexy Sex Ed, our educators, and our funders have been flooded with hundreds of threatening messages across all platforms,” they said.

It is perfectly clear where both parties stand. Is the Sexy Summer Camp legitimately trying to help the youth who are seeking sex education? Or are they, as Rufo suggests, targeting and grooming the young?

In our point of view, we are glad that Rufo exposed the Sexy Summer Camp to the larger audience of the nation.
