North Dakota White Supremacist Wants to Name Church After “God Emperor” Trump

A white supremacist in North Dakota says he wants to name a church after President Donald Trump.

In an interview with the New York Daily News, white supremacist Craig Cobb said that he intends to rebuild a church that recently burned down in Nome, ND — and then name it after the president.

“The President Donald J. Trump Creativity Church of Rome,” said Cobb. “That’s the name, because it’s beautiful. President Trump is like a god emperor, can do no wrong.”

A few years ago, Cobb attempted to turn the town of Leith, ND into an enclave for white supremacy. According to an ABC News report, Cobb tried to buy up property in the town for other white supremacists to move in. He and a friend reportedly roamed the streets on foot patrols with guns, menacing the townspeople.

Cobb pleaded guilty to one felony count of terrorizing after a 2013 arrest. He remains on probation.

Cobb bought the church in Nome in January, after it was already destroyed.
