Mom Films Son With Mickey And Minnie, Then They Catch A Look At What Minnie’s Hands Are Doing [WATCH]

Walt Disney was born in Chicago in 1901 and by the age of 18, he was already a commercial illustrator, dreaming up the possibilities of animation and technicolor. He introduced Mickey Mouse in 1928 and the first Disney film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1937, giving the nation something they had never dreamed of before!

Today, for kids and adults alike, it’s hard to imagine a more magical place than the Disney theme parks around the world and for this, Walt Disney has gone down in history as a visionary both on and off the screen.

While nothing else can truly compare to the magic of Disney, a organization in California is trying to make an impact in children’s life that is just as magical and essential!

Olive Crest was established in 1973 by Dr. Donald and his wife Lois Verleur who at the time, took in four teenage girls in Orange County, California to provide them with a safe environment free of their past.

Named after the olive tree in the front yard of their home, the organization today has grown to become a leader in the prevention and treatment of child abuse providing foster and other services to nearly 3,000 children and families in California, Nevada, and the Pacific Northwest.

Just imagine then, the magic created when these two organizations come together.  And this is just what happens each year, when Olive Crest partners take their foster and adopting families on a one-day fantasy filled adventure through one of the Disney parks.

In a video that since has as gone viral, we see the boy meeting for the first time with Pluto, Mickey, and Minnie. While it’s not unusual for many children to end up being shy at first, for this guy, it was more about not being able to communicate that was causing some anxiety.

Well, no one would have thought that the character mascots are quick to think on their feet. The video shows Minnie, Mickey, and Pluto taking a cue from the boy’s guardian in the background who is showing them how to use sign language to help them talk to the child.

The message that Minnie ended up signing to the boy said, “It’s nice to meet you; I love you.”

We sometimes take small gestures for granted but in the video below you can see just how excited the little boy became when he saw the characters communicating with him.

This proves yet again that Disney is a place filled with magic and unexpected surprises right down to the type of experience they create for each individual no matter their background.

Olive Crest is amazing in their mission for what they accomplish for these kids; and needless to say that Disney’s Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto were the cherry on top of the experience that this little guy will remember for the rest of his life.
