McDonald of Queens, was not instructed by his friend to dumps his ashes at toilets of baseball stadiums across the country, but he and Riegel’s family members both agree that this is something he would have approved of.

Riegel’s brother Hank, said that his brother Roy would have definitely given the go ahead to his friend to distribute his ashes at toilets of baseball stadiums since he never followed the rules.

After the death of his friend, McDonald asked the Riegel family to share with him some of Roy’s ashes. The family agreed, and McDonald placed the ashes in an old peanut can, which he wrapped in Mets ticket stubs.
