Patriot Brief
- What Happened: Epstein Files contained dozens of references to cast members of ABC’s The View, including internal emails.
- Why It Matters: The same hosts pushed Epstein coverage tying Trump to scandal while ignoring their own appearances in the files.
- Bottom Line: Media outrage vanished when the spotlight turned inward.
A NewsBusters investigation into the newly released Epstein Files uncovered an uncomfortable truth for the cast of The View. While the show spent ample airtime attempting to connect President Donald Trump to Jeffrey Epstein, its own cast members appeared nearly four dozen times in the Department of Justice records. Not one of those mentions was disclosed or discussed on air.

According to NewsBusters, searches of the DOJ database returned 46 references tied to the show’s hosts. Whoopi Goldberg led with 21 mentions, followed closely by Alyssa Farah Griffin with 20. Joy Behar appeared three times, and Ana Navarro twice. Co-hosts Sunny Hostin and Sara Haines were not listed in the current batch.
The most troubling revelation involved emails sent years after Epstein’s conviction. NewsBusters found correspondence from a redacted address appearing to act on Goldberg’s behalf, requesting access to one of Epstein’s private jets. The email asked whether Epstein’s Gulfstream GII could transport Goldberg to a White Feather Foundation charity event in Monaco, citing short notice and cost concerns. Epstein declined with a brief response reading “no thnaks.”

Despite the rejected request, the White Feather Foundation later confirmed Goldberg attended the event. Other mentions involving the hosts were largely resumes, articles, and newsletters routed to Epstein’s inbox. NewsBusters noted this type of incidental reference also made up the majority of mentions involving Trump, a fact frequently omitted by critics.
ABC News did not respond to a request for comment. The silence from The View’s panel was just as loud.
