- What Happened: A Soros-backed group called Freedom Trainers has been caught on recordings teaching left-wing activists how to sneak onto federal juries and vote "not guilty" on every Trump DOJ prosecution, regardless of evidence.
- Why It Matters: The group coaches trainees to hide their agenda, dress neutrally, and lie through jury selection. Once seated, they're told to vote not guilty for any reason they want. The DOJ says groups like this "should be held accountable."
- Bottom Line: Soros has already bought prosecutors and judges. Now he's going after the jury box and his people have trained hundreds of thousands across the country to do it.
George Soros has owned prosecutors. He has bankrolled judges. Now his money is training leftist activists to lie their way into the federal jury box and torch every Trump DOJ prosecution from the inside. He's like a mafia boss....but with deeper roots and more connections.
The Washington Free Beacon obtained and reviewed recordings and training materials from a group called Freedom Trainers, whose fiscal sponsor is Community Change, a nonprofit that has received $13.4 million from Soros family grantmaking outfits since 2020. The group describes itself as a "loose network of trainers teaching collective noncooperation" and was formed in late 2024 specifically to blunt a second Trump administration.
Daniel Hunter is a revolution business trainer and is affiliated with the group Freedom Trainers which provides training on jury nullification. Below is one of their training sessions.

The playbook is methodical and deliberate. Keep your address current so jury summons keep coming. During selection, dress neutrally, give brief answers, never mention jury nullification, and tell prosecutors you will consider all the evidence with an open mind. Get seated. Then vote not guilty for any reason you want.

"You always have the option of finding the defendant 'Not Guilty.' Even if you believe the law was broken. Even if the judge says you must convict," Freedom Trainers states in its training slide deck.

A pamphlet the group distributes outside D.C. courthouses on Monday mornings before jury pools are seated puts it even more bluntly: vote not guilty for "any reason you believe is just." No explanation required. No punishment allowed.

Daniel Hunter, the group's founder, laid out the strategy during a recent webinar, using as an example a man caught on video assaulting a federal agent with a sandwich. Hunter coached attendees on multiple legal-sounding reasons to vote against indicting him. A D.C. grand jury ultimately rejected felony charges in that case.
Freedom Trainers claims to have trained "hundreds of thousands of committed people" across the United States.

The DOJ is not amused. "The Department takes jury nullification and interference with official proceedings extremely seriously," a DOJ spokeswoman told the Free Beacon. "Any group attempting to improperly influence juries who should serve as impartial arbiters of evidence should be held accountable."
Carrie Severino of the Judicial Crisis Network called the scheme exactly what it is. "Dark-money networks are intent on attacking the judicial system at every level," Severino said. "This is just one more aspect of the legal system these extreme groups are trying to infiltrate."
Neither Freedom Trainers nor Community Change responded to requests for comment.
