- What Happened: President Trump opened the Oval Office March 5 to 100 pastors and faith leaders, who gathered around the Resolute Desk and prayed over him, America, and U.S. troops fighting in Iran.
- Why It Matters: The gathering was organized by White House Faith Advisor Paula White-Cain and included some of the biggest names in American Christianity. Video went viral instantly.
- Bottom Line: God is welcome at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue again. The left hates it. That's how you know it's working.
On March 5, President Trump did something the mainstream media barely covered and the left absolutely cannot stand. He opened the Oval Office to 100 pastors and faith leaders from across America and bowed his head while they prayed over him, the nation, and the U.S. troops carrying out Operation Epic Fury against the Iranian regime.
The gathering was organized by Pastor Paula White-Cain, Trump's longtime spiritual adviser and head of the White House Faith Office. Among those in the room were California megachurch pastor Greg Laurie, pastor Jentezen Franklin, evangelical leader Johnnie Moore, Robert Jeffress of First Baptist Church of Dallas, Ralph Reed of the Faith and Freedom Coalition, and Samuel Rodriguez, president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference.

In videos shared across social media, pastors surrounded the president at the Resolute Desk, placing their hands on his shoulders as the prayer began. "We are honored to come before your presence today, lifting up our president," the prayer began. "We pray for your continued blessing and favor to rest upon him. We pray for wisdom from heaven to guide his heart and mind."

Rodriguez, who attended the gathering, captured the moment perfectly. "Even in the midst of global conflict and immense responsibility, the Oval Office was opened for prayer," he wrote. "This moment served as a reminder that faith still has a place in the highest rooms of leadership, and that prayer remains one of the most powerful acts we can offer on behalf of our nation."
‘Yesterday I had the privilege of joining a group of faith leaders in the Oval Office to pray with and over the President of the United States during a moment of significant responsibility for our nation and the world.

Reed posted on X that he was "grateful to President Trump for his courageous decision to strike the terrorist regime in Iran" and honored to pray for him and U.S. armed forces. "May God grant victory and freedom for the Iranian people," Reed added.

This is not a one-off. Since taking office, Trump has opened cabinet meetings with prayer, issued a Holy Week declaration calling Jesus the Living Son of God, hosted a White House Easter service, and moved the Faith Office closer to the West Wing. Prayer gatherings like this have become a regular feature of the Trump White House.
For eight years under Obama and Biden, faith leaders were an afterthought or a photo op. Under Trump, they are in the room where it happens, hands on the president, asking God to guide the most powerful man in the world.
America is waking up. And the Oval Office is a house of prayer again.
