It is tragic that a father and daughter argued before her death. But the real issue here is not what they argued about. The real issue is that Kris Harrison is a mentally unstable alcoholic who relapsed, got drunk, and then handled a loaded weapon. He had been to rehab for alcohol addiction before and chose to drink again on the day his daughter was leaving. A recovering alcoholic with a history of substance abuse should never have access to firearms, especially after relapsing. This was a preventable tragedy caused by addiction, not politics.
