Patriot Brief

  • What Happened: Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez's Portland auto shop was attacked by Antifa after she voted for a bill funding ICE, with threats of arson if she stays in Portland.
  • Why It Matters: Antifa published a drawing showing her business's security cameras and told her to "invest in fire insurance" in a post claiming responsibility.
  • Bottom Line: The moderate Democrat supported BLM-Antifa rioters in 2020 but is now being targeted for voting like a purple district congresswoman.

A moderate Democrat congresswoman just learned the hard way that appeasing Antifa never works.

Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez's Portland auto shop was vandalized by Antifa after she voted for a bill that included funding for ICE. In a post on an anarchist blog claiming responsibility, Antifa called her and her husband Dean Glusenkamp a "fascist sympathizing" power couple and made it clear this was revenge.

But the vandalism was just the warning. Antifa published a drawing of the business showing where the security cameras are located and told the congresswoman she might want to "invest in fire insurance" if she stays in Portland. That is a direct arson threat.

This is the same woman who supported BLM-Antifa rioters in downtown Portland back in 2020. She cheered them on while they burned the city. She stood with them while they destroyed businesses and attacked federal buildings. And now those same people are threatening to burn her business to the ground because she dared to vote for funding ICE.

Gluesenkamp Perez represents a purple district, so she has conducted herself as a moderate since being elected to Congress. But Antifa does not care about purple districts or moderate voting records. They care about purity, and she failed the test.

In 2024, she publicly targeted journalist Andy Ngo for his reporting after ballots in her district were set on fire by someone expressing support for Gaza. Now Ngo is reporting on the threats against her business, and the irony is not lost on anyone.

This is what happens when you empower radicals. They do not stop. They do not compromise. And they do not forgive. Gluesenkamp Perez thought she could ride the line between supporting Antifa in 2020 and voting like a moderate in Congress. She was wrong.

Now her business has been vandalized, Antifa has published a map of her security cameras, and they are openly threatening arson. She created this monster. And now it is coming for her.
