This terrifying dashcam footage captured the moment a driver was killed in a high-speed crash when a car flew across the motorway and smashed into a tourist bus. Shocking video shows the out-of-control vehicle as it hurtles mid-air over a safety barrier from an opposite lane of traffic on the Tomei Expressway in Japan.
The black-coloured car then crashed into a bus, where the dashcam footage was recovered. The male driver of the car was declared dead at the scene and more than 20 bus passengers received minor injuries, according to The Mainichi.
Aerial footage captured after the smash shows the road was shut as the vehicles were recovered from the crash scene. The mangled car had become embedded in the front of the bus as glass from the vehicle’s shattered windscreen was strewn across the carriageway.
The bus was reportedly carrying more than 40 tourists visiting Yamanashi Prefecture on a day out for cherry picking and tasting whiskey at a distillery.
The crash took place at around 7.30am local time (22.30pm on Friday UK time) on Saturday. The footage emerged two days after dramatic video showed how an ambulance overturned after smashing into a Jeep in Donetsk in south-western Ukraine’s Donetsk Oblast region.
