Bakery Employee Quickly Regrets Calling Officer A “PIG” When She Sees Who Heard

A North Dakota woman took to Facebook to share her outrage over her police officer boyfriend being called a “pig” by an employee at a local bakery.

Elizabeth Nelson shared her story on the Facebook page for Insomnia Cookies, a bakery in Fargo, explaining that she had planned to meet her boyfriend at the store for a cookie while he was on a break from work.

“We work opposite shifts and if he is actually between calls downtown and I’m in the area I try to see him for 5 minutes,” she wrote. “I was there early and told the girl I was waiting for someone.” (Walmart Employee Learns Her Fate After Refusing To Serve Police Officer)

What happened next completely shocked and disgusted Nelson.

“My officer parks across the street and I hear the worker say with disgust ‘oooh the little piggies are here’. I turned to her and said, ‘Excuse me, that’s who I’m waiting for. The officer you just called a pig, that’s my boyfriend he’s supposed to meet me’.

I was so hurt and angry at her behavior I got up and left. My officer might be used to people calling him names but I’m not. I think this employee is horrible, and she said this out loud for everyone in the place to hear,” she wrote.

“Shame on you Insomnia Cookies. That employee deserves to be fired. Is she going to insult or make fun of a special needs person in front of customers next? I just can’t believe it. You insulted the person who will help you no matter what you do or say. He’ll always be there. You insulted and degraded my loved one because he chose a life of service. Shame on you!” (This Is The Cake Walmart Refused To Make For A Police Officer [PHOTO])

The post quickly went viral, prompting Nelson to post an update to her page after people began complaining.

“Thank you to the store manager at Insomnia. They apologized and I’m grateful for a local representative contacting me. He gave me permission to post and make public. I’ve also talked with him privately. Let the great cookie debacle of 2017 rest.

I feel positive it’s in earnest and I’m willing to give them a second chance. Also, if you shared the other posts please share this one as well,” she wrote above a response from the store manager. (Police Discover What Murderous Thug Forced Elderly Man To Drink Before Being Executed)

In the response, the manager told Nelson that he had taken action in regard to the employee who insulted her boyfriend.

“Hello Elizabeth. I am the store manager of Insomnia Cookies in Fargo. I want to deeply apologize about what happened on Wednesday evening with you and your boyfriend. What that employee said was not acceptable, and I have taken the correct action with that employee.

As for the company, and myself, we respect law enforcement 100%. If you would like to talk to me more directly about this situation, please let me know and I will give you my phone number and we can chat more about this. Again, I do sincerely apologize.”

Many readers applauded Nelson for speaking up about the incident instead of staying quiet, and causing the employee to face the consequences.

“I’m so glad the girlfriend told that idiotic employee that ” sorry” didn’t cut it! It’s about time( past time if ask me) to start shaming those that speak this way…disrespectfully to anybody! They may have the ” right” to free speech…but they need to learn respect for others….AND when to keep their mouths shut!” one Mad World News reader commented on the site’s Facebook page. “Freedom of speech is a basis right of all US citizens but you need to be held responsible for your words. I hope this employee will be free to look for a new job,” another added.
