The care staff were shocked when she told them her one true wish – to watch naked hunks dancing.
Widow Betty Wright told her lifelong desire to manager Ryan Morning at The Haven care home, in Colchester, Essex, when she was asked what she’d most like to do.
After checking with her family, he immediately arranged a trip to see the infamous Dreamboys on Wednesday, with her daughter Terri Wright and carer Tanya Jones.
He said: “We went round asking them what their later life dreams were and she said ‘I want to see a stripper’.
“I was shocked and didn’t know what to say, but then thought ‘You know what, I’ll do it for you’.
“I spoke to her family and they thought it was hilarious and they agreed.
Mr Moring added: “She had the most amazing time and he’s already put it in the diary for next year.
“She’s a saucy old girl, and I’m glad she had a good time.”
The trip had to be unfortunately delayed for six months because Betty broke her hip.
But despite the wait, she and another old-aged pal enjoyed a two-hour long performance including a wild west-themed dance.
Mr Moring said: “She was determined to call me afterwards to tell me how fantastic it was.
“There was complete nudity but she loved it, she is a one-of-a-kind lady.”
Betty’s wish was granted thanks to the home’s Sparkle initiative, which sees staff raising money to make residents’ dreams come true.
Betty has very mild dementia but her mind was strongly set on seeing the Dreamboys in the flesh.
Mr Moring said: “I just thought good for her, if that’s what she wants at 98-years-old that’s what she will have.”
