Maxine Waters is one of those people that doesn’t exactly seem like she is totally in tune with the world around her.
Sure, there are people that are aware of things but not totally in tune with them. For example I have a friend of the family that lives in a part of Florida where a lot of pro baseball players live during the off season. Every week he will go into a local grocery store and will end up seeing a pro baseball player strolling the aisle with his kids looking for the cookie aisle or whatever.
That’s an example of someone being in touch with the world around them. Someone not being in touch is someone that has everyone do all of the outside business for them and doesn’t know basic things that everyone knows. For instance, my grandmother is about to turn 90 and she knows what Facebook is….
Democratic California Rep. Maxine Waters is not the sharpest tool in the shed, which makes the fact that she serves as chair of the vitally important House Financial Services Committee nearly incomprehensible.
Waters showed once again on Sunday during an appearance on MSNBC just how out-of-touch she is with the American people — and divorced from reality in general — as she uttered a gaffe about her social media accounts while ranting about how she still intends to seek the impeachment of President Donald Trump over the now-debunked Russian collusion narrative.
The recently released final report from special counsel Robert Mueller made it abundantly clear that, despite countless media reports and claims to the contrary from elected Democrats, there was no evidence suggesting any sort of conspiracy or coordination — collusion, if you will — between then-candidate Trump or any of his associates with the Russian government in the 2016 election.
Waters appears to have not received that memo, or simply to have ignored the clear message contained therein, as she continued to insist that Trump and his allies were guilty — with overwhelming evidence proving such on her social media accounts — of colluding with the Kremlin in Moscow.
In arguing as much, however, Waters claimed the evidence of Trump’s membership in the “Kremlin Klan” was there for everyone to see on her “Facepage” and “Tweeter” accounts, a hilariously wrong mispronunciation of “Facebook” and “Twitter.”
Check it out here. The gaffe comes at about the 6:20 mark.
Waters told “AM Joy” host Joy Reid:
“Let me just say and repeat, that I have been calling for his impeachment for a long time because I understood very clearly who this man is, how he conducted himself during his campaign and the kind of information we learned about him even before Mueller came on board.”
Unfortunately, in the view of Waters, Mueller failed to produce the supposedly ample evidence of collusion with Russia by Trump, which means it is now up to Congress to prove that Trump committed a crime worthy of being impeached and removed from office.
