Woman Kicked Out Of Public Pool For Revealing Swimsuit. Do You See Any Problem With It? [PHOTOS]

Modesty is a quality trait to have and it’s completely understandable when someone crosses the line in public to ask them to show a little decency to the folks around them. To avoid these situations, many women opt to wear one-piece bathing suits in public, but what happens when that is not good enough? One woman found out the hard way during a visit to a public pool when she was kicked out for wearing an “inappropriate” one-piece swimsuit.  Naturally, the woman was upset and took to social media to see if anyone agreed with the decision. She snapped a few photos as proof of her attire.

According to AWM:

Tori Jenkins and Tyler Newman enjoyed living in Seymour, Tennessee until Jenkins was targeted last week. Because temperatures reached into the 90s, the couple went to the pool at the Smoky Crossing apartment complex where they rent.

Within minutes of arriving poolside, 20-year-old Jenkins became the target of a witch-hunt. The leasing consultant pattered over to Jenkins and told her that her one-piece swimsuit was “inappropriate.” Jenkins was ordered to change, cover up or leave immediately.

Because the couple has class, they did not publicly name the leasing consultant. Nevertheless, Jenkins was accused of wearing a thong. She wasn’t. Jenkins was “dumbfounded” that she had been confronted at the pool in her apartment building. She went to the leasing office to learn why her outfit was “inappropriate.”

“She tried to convince me a few times to let her take pictures of my butt to show how ‘inappropriate’ it was,” Jenkins told BuzzFeed. “Told me that if I didn’t have kids I wouldn’t understand how it wasn’t right to be out in public in that, and that she wouldn’t want her own kids around me.”

The leasing agent had targeted Jenkins while a group of excitable teenage boys watched on. Jenkins was humiliated.

“There are a lot of teenage boys in this complex, and you don’t need to be exciting them.’ [Being targeted was]”really violating and degrading” and Jenkins “left feeling ashamed.”

Jenkins’s boyfriend Newman wrote about the negative encounter on a now-viral Facebook post. He was shocked he had witnessed an example of the American “sexual harassment and/or ‘rape culture.’”

He went on to write, “When Tori explained that yes, she does indeed have a larger butt than a lot of people and that 95% of the things she wears ride up when she walks, the woman told Tori that a ‘normal bathing suit covers your entire butt’ and again deemed my fiancée’s body inappropriate.”

When Newman went back to the leasing office to complain about the sexual harassment, he was “met with a whole lot of blank stares and stutters,” he wrote.

“Today my fiancée was told that she is less important than how men feel around her. That Tori is less important than a man’s urges to be sexual towards her.”

Because Smoky Crossing was ousted as a sexist environment, they released the following public relations statement:

“Smoky Crossing is a welcoming family community. Multiple residents within our community complained and expressed concerns regarding Ms. Jenkins’ swimwear. In accordance with our pool policies, which are posted near the swimming area, one of our leasing consultants requested Ms. Jenkins wrap a towel around herself when she was walking around the pool.

“Ms. Jenkins was never asked to leave the pool. In addition, our leasing agent did not state that Ms. Jenkins swimwear would ‘excite teenage boys.’

“Ms. Jenkins and Mr. Newman are valued members of our community. However, we feel it is inappropriate to equate requesting Ms. Jenkins to cover up with sexual harassment or ‘rape culture.’ Smoky Crossing denounces harassment in all forms.”

Do you think her bathing suit is too revealing? It is no worse than any other one-piece I have ever seen. Sound off in the comments bellow and let us know what you think.
