In a recent act of protest, two climate activists from Britain affiliated with the group Just Stop Oil glued themselves to the frame of Van Gogh’s Peach Trees in Blossom, a bucolic vision of the undulating southern French countryside, which is shown in London’s Courtauld Gallery, earlier this week.

The duo– 21-year-old Louis McKechnie from Dorset and 24-year-old Emily Brocklebank from Leeds took a bottle of glue to an upper floor of the Courtauld Gallery and adhered their palms to the frame of Vincent van Gogh’s 1889 landscape, Peach Trees in Blossom.
McKechnie, one of the protesters, is gaining notoriety as an environmental fanatic after tying himself to the goal posts at a recent professional soccer match.

Despite his advanced age, McKechnie is a skilled disruptor who has recently made a mess with Insulate Britain’s demonstrations on busy UK roadways.
The mechanical engineering student was one of nine protesters hauled before the High Court for violating a government injunction that forbade thugs from last year’s M25 and other carriageway glue incidents.
A similar scene also took place on Wednesday, two of the Just Stop Oil protesters had previously glued themselves to another painting, in the frame of McCulloch’s 19th-century landscape, My Heart’s in the Highlands, at Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. The name of the organization was painted in neon orange spray paint on the institution’s walls by three additional members.
The idea, by Just Stop Oil, is an organization that is solely concerned with ending oil production. The group is calling for “the government to end new oil and gas and for cultural institutions to join them in civil resistance.”
Here is what McKechnie said in a statement shared by the group:
“It is immoral for cultural institutions to stand by and watch whilst our society descends into collapse. Galleries should close. Directors of art institutions should be calling on the government to stop all new oil and gas projects immediately.”
“We are either in resistance or we are complicit,” he added.
Sen. Ted Cruz, however, emphasized the irony in this situation by re-tweeting the article and captioning it: “Don’t tell them it’s an oil painting….,” the Republican senator wrote.

But not just that, Fox News also reported that eco fanatics are now slashing tires of SUVs in New York City.
According to Fox News:
A group of climate activists has started a campaign to randomly slash tires of parked SUVs across the U.S. in an effort to curb greenhouse gas emissions.
The Tyre Extinguishers — a group that originated in the U.K. and has expanded to various European nations — conducted its first “action” in New York City this week. The group vowed to conduct similar operations in cities nationwide.
