For those far and few between Megyn Kelly fans, the once golden star of Fox News hit a brick wall with the debut of her NBC Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly show. Were you surprised that according to Breitbart, Kelly’s show came in third behind a second place 60 Minutes’ rerun and the ABC’s broadcast of the NBA Finals Game 2 matchup between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors? Why did Putin mock her endlessly?

What’s next for her?

The woman with the ratings on her previous network did not seem to work that magic when she netted 6,1 million viewers compared to 60 Minutes’ 6.6 million viewers. Of course, she was demolished by the 15.5 million viewers that decided it was more important to watch Lebron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers go head to head with Seth Curry of the Golden State Warriors.

The former Fox news anchor who bailed on the network in order to pursue greener monetary pastures at NBC had a sure fire high profile interview lined up, or so she thought. Russian president Vladimir Putin, was in the Kelly hot seat for the premiere kick off of her show.

One critical moment of several had Kelly having her ears verbally boxed by the Russian president who literally schooled her on a variety of topics which left her appearing quite unprepared. At one point of the interview, Kelly asked Putin if he possessed “compromising information on U.S. President Donald Trump” Putin indignantly replied, “Have you all lost your senses over there?”

Was it a good old fashioned beatdown for the former news anchor who may have been reading too many of her own press clippings? Perhaps she already knew last month that she was wading into the deep in the of pool when she admitted, “They’ve been doing it for 50 years, and it’s a hugely rated show not just in news but in all of television,” Kelly told the outlet. “Our goal is not to beat 60 Minutes. It’s to do great journalism in a way that’s compelling and dynamic,” reported Breitbart.

For conservatives who admitted by the hundreds of thousands on Facebook and Twitter that Kelly could not have left Fox News a moment too soon, there was a lot to smile about. It seemed that she had already cooked her own golden goose when she feigned being verbally hurt by remarks candidate Trump said to her at an August presidential debate hosted by Fox. This alleged hard boiled journalist and attorney seemed to melt away as if she were some damsel in distress.

When candidate Trump became president-elect Trump, it was clear that this liberal masquerading as whatever her supporters wanted to call her, the only option was an exit through the Fox shut- the-door-behind-your employment door.
