Joe Biden was blindsided by President Trump when he attempted to use his deceased son, Beau Biden to back up a debunked The Atlantic story that accused President Trump of making negative comments about veterans.
Even though Joe Biden knows The Atlantic story has been completely debunked, he used his son as a segue to push the fake news story for the debate audience, “The way you talk about the military, the way you talk about them being losers, and, and, and just being suckers. My son was in Iraq. He spent a year there. He got the Bronze Star, he got the Conspicuous Service medal. He was not a loser—he was a patriot…and the people left behind there were heroes—and I resent…”
“Really? Are you talking about Hunter? Are you talking about Hunter?” Trump asked
“I’m talking about my son, Beau Biden!” Biden shouted back.
Trump calmly responded, “I don’t know Beau, I know Hunter. Hunter got thrown out of the military—he was thrown out, dishonorably discharged, for cocaine use…”
“That’s not true!” Biden shouted.
“…and he did not have a job until you became vice president,” Trump reminded the debate audience.
“None of that is true!” Biden shouted again.
There is no evidence that Hunter was “dishonorably” discharged, but he was in fact, discharged from the US Navy after he failed a mandatory drug test.
Trump responded, “He made a fortune in Ukraine and China and Moscow and various other places.”
“That is simply not true!” Joe shouted, adding that he had a drug problem that he fixed.
“But why was he given tens of millions of dollars?” Trump asked.
Chris Wallace promptly interrupted, shutting down Trump’s question, “President Trump we’ve already gone over this…”
So, why was Joe Biden lying about his son Hunter and why was Fox News’ Chris Wallace covering for him?
