WHOA…Rapper Convicted In Massive Conspiracy Against United States Government…

Pras Michel, a legendary rapper, and Ex-Fugees member, has been convicted of several plots to influence the US government.

According to authorities, throughout the Obama and Trump administrations, the 50-year-old star was convicted on ten counts of offenses involving influence-peddling on behalf of the Chinese government.

Michel was found guilty of failing to register as a foreign agent and witness tampering, among other things, by a jury.

Michel allegedly obtained the funds from Jho Low, a Malaysian fugitive and financier.

A name that keeps popping up when it comes to worldwide influence peddling and funding America’s cultural elite.

According to The Epoch Times:

Prosecutors accused Michel of having sought to convince the Justice Department under the Trump administration to drop civil and criminal investigations into Low over the 1MDB embezzlement scandal.

The effort was carried out with Low, Elliott Broidy, Nickie Lum Davis, George Higginbotham, and others.

Broidy, Higginbotham, and Lum Davis have all since pleaded guilty for their roles in the scheme.

Low faces separate charges in New York that he and his family embezzled more than $4.5 billion from Malaysian’s state-owned investment fund 1MDB from 2009 to 2015. He remains at large.

CNN provided this statement from Michel’s lawyer:

His attorney, David Kenner, expressed disappointment about the verdicts, but said he was confident that his mistrial motions will work out in their favor.

“We are extremely disappointed in that result but are very, very confident in the ultimate outcome of this case,” Kenner told reporters, adding: “If we do move to a sentencing hearing I remain very confident we will certainly appeal this case. This is not over.”
