While Gas Goes Up, Biden Is Trying To Shut Even More Pipes Down!

Currently, the nation is in a tailspin with rising prices due to inflation.

Not only are we seeing prices in goods and services rising quickly, but also the price of gas that helps fuel the trucks and vehicles to bring the goods. So, instead of the Biden administration opening up more of our oil pipelines Biden regime has hinted that they are considering shutting down the Line 5 pipeline.

The 5 Line pipeline is key since it links Superior, Wisconsin, with Sarnia, Ontario. Line 5 is part of a network that moves crude oil and other petroleum products from western Canada to Escanaba, Michigan, and transports approximately 540,000 barrels each day.

This would not be a surprise since, in June, Biden suspended oil drilling leases in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, the latest move in a series of sweeping policy changes to how the U.S. approaches the oil industry.

Daily Mail – The Biden Administration is considering shutting down a Michigan oil pipeline in another push to get the U.S away from fossil fuels, despite warnings from Republican lawmakers who believe the move would result in fuel price shocks throughout the Midwest.

The administration is exploring the possibility of terminating the Line 5 pipeline – which links Superior, Wisconsin, with Sarnia, Ontario – and gathering data to determine if shutting down the line will cause a surge in fuel pricing, according to published reports.

In a letter dated Thursday, 13 Congress members – led by Ohio Rep. Bob Latta – urged the president to keep the oil line in operation, saying: ‘Line 5 is essential to the lifeblood of the Midwest.’

According to the lawmakers, the administration’s move to terminate Line 5’s operation is part of a move to “appease environmental groups.”

‘Should this pipeline be shut down, tens of thousands of jobs would be lost across Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, and the region; billions of dollars in economic activity would be in jeopardy, and the environment would be at greater risk due to additional trucks operating on roadways and railroads carrying hazardous materials,’ the legislators wrote.

‘Furthermore, as we enter the winter months and temperatures drop across the Midwest, the termination of Line 5 will undoubtedly further exacerbate shortages and price increases in home heating fuels like natural gas and propane at a time when Americans are already facing rapidly rising energy prices, steep home heating costs, global supply shortages, and skyrocketing gas prices.’

In November 2020, Michigan’s current Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer, who is frequently compared to Michigan’s other disastrous female Democrat governor and Biden’s new Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm, shut down the Line 5 pipeline, citing concerns over a possible leak into the Great Lakes. Enbridge refused to shut down the pipeline.

The controversial Line 5 was manually shut down by far-left activists on October 20 when a radical activist dressed up as a pipeline worker traveled to a Tuscola County Enbridge station in Vassar and physically turned the valve to shut down the Line 5 oil pipeline for several hours.

They proudly posted a video of the activist breaking the law:

I have a feeling we will be entering a very dark winter.
