Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is growing on me more and more.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic emerged in early 2020, DeSantis has been one of the strongest proponents for freedom and respecting Floridians’ rights. Of course, the left hates that and has done all they can to malign this patriot but that hasn’t slowed him down one bit.
As other states in the nation are cracking down harder with their absurd vaccine mandates, DeSantis is doing the exact opposite.
Now, the popular governor is going another step further that will certainly piss off the left even more and I am here for it.
It is no secret that many police departments across the country are suffering due to the lack of support from elected leaders due to the rise of anti-police sentiments. Then on top of all that many police officers are being forced out of their jobs over the vaccine mandates in their area.
For example, in Chicago, thousands of officers are defying the mandate. On the other hand, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is not enforcing vaccine mandates to prevent mass termination of much-needed police officers.
On Sunday, DeSantis spoke on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures,” where he slammed government officials who want to fire health care workers and law enforcement officials for not getting the COVID-19 vaccine.
“These people we’ve been hailing as heroes, the nurses we’ve said have been heroes, this whole time they’ve been working day in and day out,” DeSantis said. “They couldn’t do their job on Zoom, they had to be there and they did it, and they did it with honor and integrity.”
DeSantis also stated that he vowed to legislatively prevent such terminations, but announced plans to offer an incentive for police officers to relocate to Florida over COVID-19 vaccine mandates.
“In Florida, not only are we going to want to protect the law enforcement and all the jobs, we are actively working to recruit out-of-state law enforcement because we do have needs in our police and sheriff’s departments,” DeSantis explained.
“In the next legislative session, I’m going to hopefully sign legislation that gives a $5,000 bonus to any out-of-state law enforcement that relocates in Florida,” DeSantis promised.
“If you’re not being treated well, we’ll treat you better here,” the governor vowed.
And that my friends, is a fantastic leader and if Trump doesn’t run in 2024, I can say with certainty I would cast my vote for DeSantis.
What do you think?
