Charles Green, better known as “Angry Grandpa“, was brought to tears when he received his dream car, a classic 1955 Chevy Bel Air, the same model car he owned when he was 16 years old.
Last year, Green’s son bought him a house. This year, he bought him the car. With that said, watch how Michael surprises his father with his dream car.
Green was in the parking lot of a Piggly Wiggly when his son “spotted” the dream car (the son actually placed the car there to prepare his gift).
“Didn’t you have one like this?” his son asked in the video.
Upon taking a closer look at the vehicle, Green confirmed that it was a 55 Chevy Bel Air.
“Damn, look at that! How did I not see this,” said Green. After walking towards the car, Green realized that it was the exact same color, white on brown.
Looking at the beautiful car brought back old memories for Green. The grandpa then went on to tell us about how he lost the car.
Green says when he was 16, he got his first car — a 1955 Bel Air. His sister borrowed the car when she drove to California. The car broke down on the way there and his sister sold it to a junkyard.
“Instead of calling us to go get it, they sold it to the junkyard,” said Green.
Although Green was still upset 50 years later, his anger turned into happiness after his son surprised him with the beautiful car.
“That’s the same car from Piggly Wiggly,” his son said. “I teased you with it a little.”
Green took off his glasses and started to cry as he checked out his new car.
“It’s yours,” his son said. “Come look at it.”
Seeing that his son prepared the car in the exact colors as his first car, the father was beyond touched. A beautiful moment shared by the family. With the holiday seasons coming about, it warms my heart seeing something like this.
