Throughout his entire campaign, Donald Trump was called every name in the book and accused of everything from fraud to rape. Two things the liberal left has constantly accused him of is being racist against people of color and being a sexist where women are concerned.
On Wednesday, January 04, 2017, Trump completely destroyed those liberal accusations by hiring Omarosa Manigault, who will work in his administration in a role that will focus on public engagement.
The former “Apprentice” contestant will serve as an assistant to the president and the director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison, according to a press release from his transition team Wednesday.
“These individuals will be key leaders in helping to implement the President-elect’s agenda and bring real change to Washington,” incoming White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus said in a statement. “Each of them has been instrumental over the last several months, and in some cases years, in helping the President-elect.”
Omarosa, who prefers to go by her first name only, entered the public eye as a contestant on the first season of “The Apprentice,” before Trump fired her after nine weeks.
This isn’t her first time in the White House. She previously worked in the office of former Vice President Al Gore during former President Bill Clinton’s administration.
During an interview with The New York Times Magazine in October, Omarosa revealed that she switched from the Democrat party to support Donald Trump:
NYT: A lot of people don’t remember that you were a political appointee in the Clinton administration. I assume you were a Democrat then.
Omarosa: Oh, absolutely. I’ve been very vocal about the fact that I had been a Democrat my entire life. As an African-American, that’s what we tend to do. African-Americans are loyal to the Democratic Party, but unfortunately, the Democratic Party is not loyal to them.
