Trump Has Just Dropped A Bombshell About The Release Of The Durham Report….

In response to Special Counsel John Durham’s report on the Department of Justice and FBI’s criminal investigation of his 2016 presidential campaign, former President Donald Trump stated that there must be responsibility.

Agreed.

In July 2016, the FBI began Crossfire Hurricane to investigate claims that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia during the election, a claim that was ultimately predicated on false material spread by the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign and the DNC.

“Based on the review of Crossfire Hurricane and related intelligence activities, we conclude that the Department and the FBI failed to uphold their mission of strict fidelity to the law in connection with certain events and activities described in this report,” Durham’s report, released by the DOJ Monday, said.

“Our investigation also revealed that senior FBI personnel displayed a serious lack of analytical rigor towards the information that they received, especially information received from politically affiliated persons and entities,” the report added.

Since May 2019, Durham has been looking at the beginnings of the Trump-Russia investigation.

Trump responded positively to the report’s findings.

“I, and much more importantly, the American public have been victims of this long-running and treasonous charade started by the Democrats — started by [former FBI Director James] Comey,” the 45th president told Fox News. “There must be a heavy price to pay for putting our country through this.”

Trump argued that “the national security implications of what they did are very grave.”

“It turned out to be a giant and very dangerous hoax,” he said.

By obtaining bank records in 2017 and 2018, the House Intelligence Committee—then headed by Devin Nunes—found that the DNC and the Clinton campaign had paid for the Steele dossier’s production.

That unsupported document was used by the FBI and the DOJ to get FISA warrants to spy on Trump campaign personnel.

“This information in part triggered and sustained Crossfire Hurricane and contributed to the subsequent need for Special Counsel Mueller’s investigation. In particular, there was significant reliance on investigative leads provided or funded (directly or indirectly) by [Donald] Trump’s political opponents,” Durham’s report said.

“The Department did not adequately examine or question these materials and the motivations of those providing them, even when at about the same time the Director of the FBI and others learned of significant and potentially contrary intelligence,” the report added.

Durham makes reference to Andrew McCabe, a former deputy director of the FBI, and Comey.

Comey was fired by then-President Trump in May 2017. Following a DOJ Inspector General’s assessment that he had disclosed information to the media in the fall of 2016 and then repeatedly lied to federal agents about it, McCabe was also fired in March 2018.

In the course of his inquiry, Durham indicted three people: former Clinton lawyer Michael Sussmann in September 2021, Democratic political operative Igor Danchenko in November 2021, and former FBI attorney Kevin Clinesmith in August 2020, according to Fox.

Both Sussmann and Danchenko’s trials, which were held in the heavily Democratic region of Washington, D.C., resulted in not-guilty verdicts.

In August 2020, Clinesmith entered a guilty plea for falsifying facts on a FISA warrant application. According to Politico, he was sentenced to 400 hours of community service and a year of probation.

It is not without irony that the DOJ coerced individuals connected to the Trump campaign, including George Papadopoulos, Lt. Gen. (retired) Michael Flynn, Roger Stone, and Paul Manafort, to enter guilty pleas, primarily to processing crimes, despite the fact that the campaign had not committed any illegality.

Thank goodness Trump released them all.

The Democrats, the Clinton campaign, and officials from the DOJ and FBI, on the other hand, all committed crimes and got away with it.

Many people lost their jobs or were fired from them, including Comey, McCabe, former FBI attorney Lisa Page, former FBI agent Peter Strzok, and former DOJ official Bruce Ohr, to mention a few; yet, none were held accountable, with the exception of Clinesmith, who was ordered to perform community service.

At least Durham has now produced a formal report detailing the malfeasance of the DOJ and FBI, which can be used whenever someone wishes to falsely assert that Trump made all of this up.
