Despite being crowned Miss Spartanburg International and then Miss South Carolina Teen International, Madison Cox a seventeen-year-old may be a beauty queen, however, for allegedly fabricating doctor’s papers describing her extended absences from school, Cox may spend some time in jail after being arrested by police officers.
Some people may do some horrific things with that much control over the pen and Cox is not an exception; Cox, a student at Byrnes High School, allegedly used a pad she stole from Parris Family Chiropractic, which is located close to Spartanburg, to write herself doctor’s letters to excuse herself from the academic institution, the Duncan Police reported.
Cox, according to Duncan Police, did not go to Parris Family Chiropractic on the days she mentioned in her notes. The office was truly closed on a few occasions.
In a now-deleted tweet, Cox remarked on her arrest and unwanted newfound fame, asking, “Did they really just put me on the news BC I went to jail for a DOCTORS NOTE???.”
Forging the signature of a licensed doctor is a major deal in South Carolina.
Still not feeling the limelight, She followed up with more tweets thinking it was okay to use all the power at her disposal to get out of class because she was a teenage beauty queen. “I’ve got to learn to stop being so childish and keep my mouth closed,” the South Carolina beauty queen added. And when the people started calling her out in her tweets, she just replied “It’s sad that I’m the only entertainment in y’alls lives.”
However, the forgery charges against her had been dropped by the South Carolina law enforcement officials, despite the fact that Cox does not believe her crime was particularly serious. The teen could land in jail for a long period of time as the beauty queen faces a very serious offense.
