The Today Show’s Al Roker Just Shared A Very Important Health Update…

After being hospitalized for a series of blood clots that started in his leg and moved to his lungs, Longtime “Today” show host Al Roker announced that he’s finally home.

The 68-year-old weather personality expressed his gratitude saying that he’s “so very thankful” for being able to leave the hospital and spend Thanksgiving at home with his family in a series of photos he shared on Instagram on Thursday.

“So much to be #thankful for on the [Thanksgiving Day], leaving the hospital and home for [Thanksgiving Dinner].” Roker captioned his post.

In the clip, the host is heard saying this as he walked out of the hospital, “Alright, this is my version of the Thanksgiving Day Parade. Getting ready to leave the hospital. Time to blow this taco stand. Woohoo!”

And in a second post, he wrote, “Back home in time to catch a little bit of the [Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade] Missing being next to [Savannah Guthrie] and [Hoda Kotb],

Page Six noted that Roker, who has been a mainstay of the “Today” show’s coverage of the annual Thanksgiving Day Parade, missed anchoring the program for the first time in the previous 27 years.

“So very #thankful to be able to be home for [Thanksgiving] [Dinner] with [Family],” Roker wrote as he posted pictures of himself and his family celebrating the holiday in one last post.

As it was previously reported, From the program on November 18, Roker explained his absence stating that he had been hospitalized because, as previously reported, a blood clot in his leg had “sent some clots into” his lungs.

“So many of you have been thoughtfully asking where I’ve been. Last week I was admitted to the hospital with a blood clot in my leg which sent some clots into my lungs,” the “Today” show host wrote.

“After some medical whack-a-mole, I am so fortunate to be getting terrific medical care and on the way to recovery,” he added. “Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers and hope to see you soon. Have a great weekend, everyone.” Roker added.
