June Chu is a dean at Yale, or least she used to be. We won’t know until a final judgement is rendered. But at least for now she has been suspended. What is remarkable about her suspension is why she got it in the first place. Chu seems to be a prolific reviewer on Yelp. All of her reviews have one thing in common. She can’t hide her hatred of whites. That’s right, Yale suspended a dean for being racist against whites. What are the odds? Or maybe it’s just that allowable racism is black privilege, which orientals don’t have. Yale went out of their way to declare her actions to be against everything the university stands for.
Stephen Davis, the head of Pierson College, sent an email on Thursday informing members of the residential college that Chu had been placed on leave after he discovered there were numerous offensive reviews, not the two he had been led to believe existed.
Davis says the reviews contained ‘inappropriate and unacceptable language pertaining to race and class’ that was ‘deeply harmful to the community fabric.’
It was earlier revealed that Chu posted at least 10 reviews of restaurants and establishments in New Haven, Connecticut from her personal account in the past few years.
The reviews, which were obtained by the Yale Daily News, were slammed as demeaning, offensive and elitist.
‘To put it quite simply: If you are white trash, this is the perfect night out for you!’ Chu wrote in a review of a Japanese restaurant.
