The Committee Just Admitted They Were Only After Trump…
It has been one year since the supposed “insurrection” at the Capitol. You remember that, right?
Where the Capitol police let them in, and there are videos of Antifa leading them into the area?
We all know that this is ONE giant scam on behalf of the left in their twisted attempt to accuse President Trump and those who support him.
That is why this entire “committee” brought together to investigate the January 6th event is a complete and utter waste of time.
The whole reason they are even putting this together is not to get to the bottom of what REALLY happened that day but to form a witch hunt to smear Trump further.
How do I know this?
Rep. Bennie Thompson admitted so much on Sunday when he declined to rule out the prospect of a criminal referral against former President Donald Trump in connection with the violence at the United States Capitol.

During an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Rep. Tommy Thompson, chairman of the House committee investigating the violence, stated, “If there is any confidence on the side of our committee that anything illegal has happened, we will make the referral.”
Mr. Thompson, on the other hand, emphasized that the panel has not yet assessed whether Mr. Trump’s failure to act would constitute a criminal violation if he did not take any action.
According to the Mississippi Democrat, “the only thing I can say is that it’s scarce for someone in control of anything to sit back and do nothing.”
When asked by anchor Dana Bash whether such inactivity would be deemed “criminal,” he responded: “Well, we don’t know what that means. We’re in the process of attempting to get all of the necessary information.
“However, I can assure you that if there is anything that we as a committee comes across that we believe should be sent to the Department of Justice, we will take care of it.” As members of Congress, we take an oath to uphold this principle,” Thompson added.

In response to a question about whether the Committee had learned more about what Mr. Trump “was or wasn’t doing” as the incident unfolded, Mr. Thompson said affirmatively, “Yes, we have.”
According to him, “we have sufficient testimony leading us to assume that the White House had been ordered to do something,” he said. It is essential for us to thoroughly investigate everything so that when we publish our report and have the hearings, the public will have the chance to see for themselves.”
Mr. Thompson went on to say that “what happened on January 6 took place in plain front of the American people and the rest of the world, and we want to make certain that this never, ever occurs again.” “It’s critical that we get it correctly.”
The House Committee on Oversight and Reform accused Mr. Trump’s legal team on December 29 of seeking criminal charges against the former president after Mr. Thompson raised the prospect of such a referral in an interview with the Washington Post.
In a statement, Mr. Trump’s attorneys said that the Committee could not make a mockery of Congress’ constitutional duty that a “valid legislative purpose back its demands and investigations.” According to the Department of Justice, “it cannot start on what is a law enforcement inquiry on the pretext that it could legislate based on the material it uncovers during its investigation.”
