Student Parks Car In Neighbor’s Driveway, Left A Note That Said: “I will be back On September 15th.”

A student reportedly left his car on a couple’s drive and went home to China for the summer without giving them a personal notice.

Tom and Julia Ebenezer returned home to see the black Citroen C4, that wasn’t their’s, with a note stuck in the window.

The note said: “Hi, it’s Jack from ** **** *******, thank you for letting me park my car here.”

The university student, who allegedly rents a room across the street, also asked the couple to look after his cactus.

The note also included: “I will bring present from China. I will be back at 15 September.”

Retired meter reader Tom, 76-year-old, of Aberystwyth, West Wales, cannot move the car, which has been there for weeks.

He said: “The person who owns the car is a Chinese student who is renting a property across the road. He seems to have gone home for the summer. Looking out, all you see is this black car. It is very annoying.”

“The police and council have told us that if we move it, we must be careful not to damage it. We have tried to get a company to move it but nobody wants to risk damaging it.”

Yesterday the student phoned Julia, 73-year-old, begging for forgiveness and promising to send the car keys in the post.

She said: “I asked him, ‘Why did you do it?’ He said he’s so sorry, he’s heartbroken. I told him he’s done more harm to myself and my husband. I thought he’d have an asthma attack because of the stress.”
