Sheriff Clarke: I’ll Only “Be Reaching Across the Aisle” to Grab a Democrat “By the Throat”

Last night, at the alt-right promoted ‘DeploraBall’ inauguration gala in Washington, D.C., outspoken Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke addressed the crowd and let it be known that he has no desire to work with Democrats during a Trump Administration.

Clarke, who is currently a registered Democrat and has run for office a number of times as a Democrat, told attendees that he’d rather be violent with those in the Democratic Party than find compromise or working solutions.

“I am one of those bare-knuckle fighters,” the sheriff stated. “When I hear people say we need to reach across the aisle and work with the Democrats, you know what I say? The only reason I’ll be reaching across the aisle is to grab one of them by the throat.”

According to Business Insider, when asked about his comments, the Democratic law enforcement official said that Democrats have done “nothing for black people and I’m tired of that.”

Clarke was recently in the news over an encounter he had with a man on an airplane. Reportedly, Clarke detained the man at an airport for a short while after he shook his head at Clarke for wearing Dallas Cowboys gear. The sheriff responded to the man’s complaint by threatening to take physical action next time.

A large group of protesters gathered outside the Deploraball last night to demonstrate against the event.
