New York Daily News writer, social justice warrior and fake black person, Shaun King, announced today that he would be boycotting the NFL because of its s “blatant bigotry and anti-blackness.”
Now there are probably few industries which have a greater percentage of black people involved in it than the NFL.
So accusing the NFL of bigotry is just a bit silly.
But King claims he became convinced of it after what he said was the poor treatment of Colin Kaepernick.
From Daily Wire:
But because of the league’s treatment of the America-protesting, Fidel Castro-praising Kaepernick, whose team lost nearly every game he started last year, King can’t “in good conscience” patronize pro-football any longer:
But I won’t be watching the NFL this year. I can’t, in good conscience, support this league, with many of its pro-Trump owners, as it blacklists my friend and brother Colin Kaepernick for taking a silent, peaceful stance against injustice and police brutality in America. It’s disgusting and has absolutely nothing to do with football and everything to do with penalizing a brilliant young man for the principled stance he took last season.
As the Daily Wire notes, Kaepernick’s “principled stance” didn’t take place until his career was failing and he was second string. And once his contract was not renewed, he suddenly had no interest in that ‘principled stance’ anymore.
King said he couldn’t believe that someone would hire Austin Davis who he termed a “scrub” yet not hire Kaepernick.
“It’s racism. It’s bigotry. It’s discrimination. Period. It’s not football. Don’t call it football. If you call the decisions by 32 teams to not sign this man a football decision, you don’t know football and probably voted for Donald Trump,” writes King.
The bottom line was Kaepernick was a second-rate quarterback on a losing team.
He additionally made himself unpopular to audiences and thus unattractive to hiring because of his hatred of police, his anti-American stances was his embrace of radicalism and Castro.
The last thing that any owner wants is backlash from the fans or loss of dollars.
Nothing to do with ‘blackness’ but everything to do with poor performance and bad attitude…
