Nancy Pelosi made a major slip-up on ABC News Sunday afternoon, accidentally referring to President Donald Trump as President Bush.
On ABC’s “This Week,” host Jonathan Karl asked Pelosi if the Democratic Party would be willing to work with President Trump.
“I see everything as an opportunity…winning means winning for the American people,” she started. “That either we win, or whoever wins, understands the priorities of the American people and they are not with President Bush.”
Immediately realizing her mistake, Pelosi held her hands to her heart and looked up to the sky to prepare for her apology.
“I’m so sorry President Bush,” she said as Karl chuckled. “I never thought I’d pray for the day that you were president again.”
Karl seemed incredulous that Pelosi would want Bush to be president again, although she explained that she found him easier to work with than Trump.
