President Trump Said ONE PERSON Is Directly Responsible For The Leaks, Do You Agree?

President Donald Trump has accused former President Barack Obama and his “people” of being behind nationwide town hall protests and White House leaks.

He made the allegation in an interview on the Feb. 27 broadcast of the television program “Fox & Friends,” reports the Daily Mail.

“Well, you never know exactly what’s happening behind the scenes,” he said. “But I think President Obama’s behind it, because his people are certainly behind it. And some of the leaks possibly come from that group.”

The group he was referring to is Organizing for Action (OFA), the political action group that grew out of Obama’s first presidential election. The OFA has been revived to fight Trump’s agenda, reports NBC News.

According to the organization’s website, the group is “committed to mobilizing and training the next generation of progressive organizers and leaders.” Although Obama has no legal affiliation with the group, his name is holds great value with Democratic donors and voters, and thus the group is a obvious base for pursuing his post-presidency interests.

Regarding the leaks, Trump said: “You know, some of the leaks, which are really very serious leaks, because they’re very bad in terms of national security, but I also understand that’s politics. And in terms of him being behind things, that’s politics, and it will probably continue.”

Eliot Cohen, a former State Department official and a member of former President George W. Bush’s National Security Council, says the amount of leaks in the Trump administration is unprecedented, reports The Huffington Post. “I’ve been in this town for 26 years. I have never seen anything like this,” he declared.

Richard Nephew, a State Department official under Obama, suspects that the leaks are attempts by officials to let the public know that Trump is not taking their advice, and therefore they want to distance themselves from the results of the president’s actions.

However, other former insiders contend that the leakage is nothing new. “There’s always leaks,” said Ron Kaufman, who worked in the White House during the administration of former President George H. W. Bush. “Every president in history has said the press hates me and there’s too many leaks.”
