The mainstream media salivated over the Capitol riots when they happened since they encompassed all the elements these rabid liberals have been wanting for years.
Violence, death, Trump supporters, and President Trump. It was the holy grail of a moment for the left and before they could even investigate any of it they were off running with the story. Within moments, these so-called journalists were almost gleeful reporting the tragic and unfortunate death of Brian Sicknick, a Capitol police officer who was involved in the chaos on January 6th and died the next day.
Sicknick’s death was attributed to being viciously beaten with a fire extinguisher by the hands of Trump supporters and then used to accuse Trump of inciting the Capitol riot. This horrible accusation prompted severe charges being leveled against President Trump that was then turned into an impeachment sham that wasted millions of American’s tax dollars.
However, the story of Officer Sicknick was never truly investigated nor were the numerous surveillance cameras in the area ever studied. The most heavily surveilled area in the country would surely show this horrific beating of an officer, right?
We all saw the footage of George Floyd on the news for weeks, but not one frame of this sickening crime was found to be shown to the American people? Due to this fact, many people questioned the officer’s death and if it was truly caused by the hands of Trump supporters.
Despite the lack of evidence, the media and the New York Times ran with the story which in my opinion greatly contributed to the current state of mass hysteria.
The NYT’s scandalous headline of, Capitol Police Officer Dies From Injuries in Pro-Trump Rampage turned out to be what we all thought it was at the beginning. Fake news.
However, instead of the once highly revered publication issuing a massive apology and retraction, they chose the cowards way out by doing it quietly and without much fanfare as their previous article heralded.
The paper silently issued a correction stating that Sicknick’s death was not caused by being attacked with a fire extinguisher.

The Washington Examiner reports:
“The New York Times quietly updated a month-old report about the siege of Congress which perpetuated the idea that U.S. Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick might have died after being struck by a fire extinguisher.
Now affixed to the top of the report, headlined: Capitol Police Officer Dies From Injuries in Pro-Trump Rampage, is an update note. “New information has emerged regarding the death of the Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick that questions the initial cause of his death provided by officials close to the Capitol Police,” the missive states in italic letters.
Capitol Police announced that Sicknick, a 42-year-old who joined the agency in 2008, died at around 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 7, one day after rioters sieged the U.S. Capitol as lawmakers counted electoral votes to affirm President Biden’s victory.
“Officer Sicknick was responding to the riots on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at the U.S. Capitol and was injured while physically engaging with protesters. He returned to his division office and collapsed. He was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries,” the Capitol Police said in a statement. Capitol Police said Sicknick’s death would be investigated by the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch, the USCP, and federal partners. Charges have yet to be filed in the case.
The next day, the New York Times reported Sicknick “was struck by a fire extinguisher,” citing two law enforcement officials, prompting other news outlets to echo this reporting.”
The false story then began to erode quickly when CNN was forced to report that the investigators that were involved in the investigation were having a hard time building a case since the evidence of the beating was simply not true.
CNN saves this nugget for the 8th paragraph:
“Medical examiners did not find signs that the officer sustained any blunt force trauma, so investigators believe that early reports that he was fatally struck by a fire extinguisher are not true.”https://t.co/coAVfuXhin

According to CNN:
“According to one law enforcement official, medical examiners did not find signs that the officer sustained any blunt force trauma, so investigators believe that early reports that he was fatally struck by a fire extinguisher are not true.
One possibility being considered by investigators is that Sicknick became ill after interacting with a chemical irritant like pepper spray or bear spray that was deployed in the crowd. But investigators reviewing video of the officer’s time around the Capitol haven’t been able to confirm that in tape that has been recovered so far, the official said.
The case could also be complicated if Sicknick had a preexisting medical condition.”
So it comes down to the fact that if Sicknick was beaten to death by a fire extinguisher that would have been plastered all over the news and on every outlet. The video of the savage beating would have been burned into our minds but since there was no footage they couldn’t. Instead, they used fake reports and sensational journalism to bully Trump supporters and push this hoax down the throats of the American people.
We always knew that the media was totally bought and paid off by the left, but it is unfortunate to see how despicable they are up close. These hateful and demonic beings actually used the tragic death of an officer to continue to divide the country and cause more chaos.
How is that unity feeling folks?
