Earlier today Vice President Mike Pence delivered at the University of Notre Dame, but what some students did during the ceremony is getting lots of attention online.
Dozens of students walked out as Pence began, as you can see in the Fox News video below.
According to Time Magazine, the student group We StaND For had been planning this protest in response to Pence’s record and the Trump administration’s record on issues like LGBT protections and Syrian refugees.
During his speech, Pence spoke out against the “suppression of the freedom of speech” on college campuses, telling the students that “far too many campuses across America have become characterized by speech codes, safe zones, tone policing, administration-sanctioned political correctness.”
