Mom Finds Hot Dog Stuffed With Razor Blades In Her Yard, Quickly Foils Plan

Turn on the news and you’re bound to come across a warning. Whether it is a parent discussing the harmful effects of eating a popular brand of cereal or someone who has died or gotten cancer from something as innocuous as a cellular phone.

Warnings have become even more common in the age of social media. Now everyone can log onto Facebook and proclaim to the world one more thing we must watch out for. But now one dog owner has a serious warning for anyone with a pet.

If you want your dog to live a healthy and happy life, you need to listen to what this woman is saying. It could save your canine’s life… While taking her two dogs, Pandora and Ophelia, out into the yard, a Canadian dog owner experience what she could only describe as her “worst fear as a dog owner.”

“It was super nice out so I decided to sit on the front patio while they go do their business,” she told BuzzFeed Canada

That’s when her border collie Ophelia escaped and ran over to a piece of meat in the yard. The down owner thought nothing about it. But then the meat began to glimmer in the sun. She shouted at her dogs to back away. Because she had trained them well, they did.

The dog owner, Emma Medeiros, hurried over to the scattered meat. That’s when she saw quite clearly that the stuff on her lawn were pieces of hot dogs. She took a closer look at the meat and that’s when her “stomach just dropped.” She was horrified by what it meant.

Inside the scattered hot dog, pieces were numerous razor blades. Someone wanted to hurt her dogs.

“My worst fear as being a dog owner — there were sharp shards of metal in it,” Medeiros said.

Because Medeiros did not want other dog owners to watch their animals get hurt, she quickly snapped a picture of the sinister hot dog and shared it to Facebook. Now she is hoping her post will continue to go viral and help protect other dogs out there.

“I’m not sure where to post this but I took my fur babies out for a pee this morning and happened to notice some hot dog in my yard, which is very unusual. So I went up to the pieces and it turns out there’s a bunch of razor blades in each piece,” she wrote on her social media page.

When she shared her warning, people listened. So far more than 470,000 people have heeded her warning, according to the counter of Facebook.

She closes the post with a warning that everyone can understand: “PLEASE CHECK YOUR YARDS!!!!”

If her dog had been hurt, she would have been devastated. She continued telling BuzzFeed Canada how she feels about the hot dog razor blade incident.

“I don’t think I have ever been so shocked in my life,” she said. “It astounds me that someone would want to hurt my precious dogs, or any dog in that manner. It could have been someone’s child playing out front and not knowing any better and sticking that in their mouth.”
