Matt Gaetz CAUGHT Backpedaling On Something That Affects ALL Of Us!
Over the last week while everyone was watching the Arizona audit reveal something sinister happened and over 100 Republicans joined forces with it.
135 Republicans signed their names on the Red Gun Law which is just another betrayal of our trust. For these Republicans to vote against one of our sacred rights is beyond comprehension and what makes it worse is that they did it as we are seeing tyranny rise around the world.
Just recently, we have seen the country of Australia being thrust into utter chaos as the police are forcing them to stay home and even shooting them with rubber bullets if they go outside to protest the draconian lockdowns.
The only thing that separates us from them at this juncture in time is our right to bear arms and they doing their best to sneak around it and take that away from us too.
When the list came out of the names that voted for this particular bill, it was quite a shock to me and others.
The names on there have always appeared to be staunch gun rights advocates but there they were in black and white voting for a bill that neuters our nation.
However, according to Matt Gaetz, this is all a misunderstanding and he attributed his name on this bill as a “staff error”.
The Red Flag inclusion was a staff error. Both sides agree it’s coming out.
Drafting women is a terrible idea & is coming out too.
TONS of good in this bill to win great power competition & end forever wars – good #AmericaFirst policy.
Final bill won’t have these poison pills https://t.co/HxONrfycj2

In all honesty, I have a lot of follow-up questions here.
I completely understand what he said but it literally doesn’t make sense to me and I am sure you too.
“Both sides” are going to pull this, and the female draft provision from the bill? He is saying that both Democrats and Republicans are agreeing to take these measures out of the bill, right?
Historically speaking gun rights have never really had a bipartisan agreement, am I right?
I would love to give Gaetz the benefit of the doubt, but did he not read what he was signing?
Did he just take the word and signed it without asking what it was?
If he just signed without even looking it over that to me is even worse since it shows that there wasn’t a care in the world but “getting it over with”.
This is just disgusting and appalling to me.
Thankfully, representatives, pundits, and concerned citizens all voiced their disgust and disagreement with the bill:
Many Republicans will vote for the #NDAA today. They shouldn’t.
The ?Red Flag law is terrible. But even worse, it gives @SecDef Austin the power to label troops as “extremists” & remove them from the military.
How is “extremist” defined? It isn't. It's totally up to Austin. pic.twitter.com/3x7dvzs8sL

135 Republicans voted for a Red Flag gun confiscation law for US servicemembers. If you are still looking to the GOP establishment to save us, you are a fool. https://t.co/wBRZVdWURi

American Military News reports:
A provision in the 2022 National Defense Authorization Act would allow military courts to issue protective orders that include “Red Flag” gun confiscation, according to the more than 1,300-page bill.
In the legislation, those beholden to the United States Code of Military Justice could be issued a “military court protective order” by a military judge or magistrate, which would make “possessing, receiving, or otherwise accessing a firearm” illegal.
Red Flag Law is coming at a very suspicious time. And the Republicans who voted for it are scum.

Incompetent Congress admits that they didn’t even read the bill before they voted in favor of the Red Flag Law provision.
The lip service spin we’re getting from Republicans now is just damage control. We know what they have done.

The problem w the republicans: this bill has red flag ? law in it. It also gives Sec Austin the power to remove “extremist“ from the military.

So, what do you think?
Is he telling the truth? Are we willing to gamble on this issue?
I am not sure I even believe him and this “story” since they all have been less than trustworthy recently.
