Liberal Media Now Blames Hillary Clinton’s Election Loss On – GROCERY STORES

President-elect Donald Trump will take office in less than a week, yet the liberal media is still hung up on the election and trying to figure out why they lost, while ignoring the real reason.

The latest theory, believe it or not, is the grocery stores did it. In the checkout aisle. With a tabloid.

The liberal media’s latest theory was that Clinton lost the election because people see tabloid headlines while standing in grocery checkout aisles. Politico asserted that relentless coverage of Clinton’s financial scandals, political corruption, health issues and emails turned the public against her.

In other words, blame the messenger.

There are 37,000 supermarkets in America, Politico said, with an average of 10 checkout stands each, many featuring tabloids.

“It’s easy to imagine that tabloids don’t matter, but that misses the importance of the constant cultural background noise they add to American life,” author Jack Shafer claimed.

The Daily Caller nailed it. Clinton lost Florida; she got cocky after the Democrat National Convention and took a break from campaigning; and she further left Wisconsin and Michigan twisting in the wind, believing she had the vote locked up in those traditionally blue states.

Oh. And the voters didn’t like her. Or trust her.

Even President Barack Obama seemed to get it.

“There are not only entire states but also big chunks of states where, if we’re not showing up, if we’re not in there making an argument, then we’re going to lose. And we can lose badly, and that’s what happened in this election,” he said in a December National Public Radio interview.

Seriously, the media needs to reset its calendar. This is January, Clinton is very old news, and this theory is outlandish.

The checkout aisles also have Bon Appetit and Popular Woodworking, and I’m not dying to whip up a souffle and cut some lumber for reasons I can’t explain. Give me a break.
