Well, it seems that politics sure does allow people the chance to turn on each other at every possible moment.
Take for instance the issues going on between the higher-ups in New York politics. Cuomo and Bill de Blasio. Those two seemed like peas in a pod for a good while and then all of a sudden you have people like those two going after each otehr.
Objectively, it’s not without good reason. Cuomo has been acting like a straight-up fool for a while now and the mayor of NYC, despite being the most liberal of liberals, just cannot take it anymore.
Far-left New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has turned on Democrat Governor Andrew Cuomo, not for the thousands of elderly nursing home victims that were killed by Cuomo’s COVID policies, but for new sexual harassment allegations against the governor.
Governor Andrew Cuomo was the darling of the left for the past year, receiving awards and praise for his handling of COVID, but it seems that he is no longer useful to the Democrat Party. Now that it has been confirmed that his administration hid data that showed the deadly effect of his policies, the party has decided to destroy Cuomo to save itself.
Two former staffers, including Karen Hinton, Mayor de Blasio‘s former press secretary, have come forward to accuse Cuomo of sexual harassment and bullying.
“He made me feel as if I were no good at my job and thus totally dependent on him to keep it… Working for him is like a 1950s version of marriage. He always, always, always comes first. Everyone and everything else — your actual spouse, your children, your own career goals — is secondary. Your focus 24 hours a day is on him,” Hinton wrote.
“Gov. Andrew Cuomo has created a culture within his administration where sexual harassment and bullying is so pervasive it is not only condoned but expected,” said Lindsey Boylan, a former top aide to the governor, who claims that while she was working for Cuomo, he kissed her, repeatedly touched her lower back and legs, and invited her to play strip poker.
New York Assemblyman Ron Kim also spoke out about Cuomo’s behavior recently, stating that he threatened him to stay silent about the COVID data coverup. “On a phone call, berated me for ten minutes,” Kim said.
“He said that I haven’t seen his anger and his ability to, you know, destroy my career, and he will go out tomorrow and say stuff just to ruin my livelihood,” he added.
