On Wednesday the Department of Justice announced in a press release  that an illegal immigrant who was charged with leaving the scene of a hit-and-run accident had previously been deported eight times. He is now being charged with illegal entry after deportation.

Miguel Angel Villasenor-Saucedo, a 40-year-old Mexican national residing in Louisville, Kentucky, was found to be involved in a hit-and-run accident that killed two women. Allegedly, Villasenor-Saucedo was driving the truck that killed the women, and then fled the scene of the accident. He was later charged with leaving the scene of a fatal hit-and-run accident and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

After the warrant was issued, authorities were alerted that Villasenor-Saucedo was a Mexican national living in the United States. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement began investigating him and discovered that he had been deported a whopping eight times already, and he was again residing in the United States illegally. It is unclear how he repeatedly made his way across the border.

If captured by federal agents, he will face a maximum of no more than two years in prison.
