It appears like the White House is using a different strategy in response to the charges made by the whistleblower about Hunter Biden’s Whatsapp text messages to his Chinese business partners.
Hunter Biden wasn’t finalizing dinner reservations with these Chinese friends, either. If his requests weren’t met, he threatened to exploit the authority of his father Joe Biden by demanding $10 million.
Hunter Biden’s lawyer, Chris Clark, released a statement on Friday in response to whistleblower testimony, stating in part, “The DOJ investigation covered a period which was a time of turmoil and addiction for my client,” and adding, “Any verifiable words or actions of my client, in the midst of a horrible addiction, are solely his own and have no connection to anyone in his family.”
It appears that Clark’s remarks about Hunter Biden’s “horrible addiction” and his insistence that his client’s actions during that time were “solely his own” and unrelated to anyone in his family resemble an admission of guilt mixed with a defense and an effort to protect Joe Biden from accusations of involvement.
The testimony of two whistleblowers, known as “Whistleblower X” and Supervisory Special Agent Gary Shapley, as well as the purported WhatsApp chats, totaling 411 pages, was made public on Thursday by the House Ways and Means Committee.
According to the leaked WhatsApp chats, Hunter Biden wrote a threatening message to his business partner at the Chinese oil company CEFC on July 30, 2017, according to the U.K. Daily Mail. The announcement also hinted at Joe Biden’s suspected involvement in their business operations.
“I am sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled,” Hunter wrote to his partner, Chinese Communist Party official Henry Zhao.
Hunter allegedly told Zhao that if he didn’t follow his orders he would “make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction.”
“I am sitting here waiting for the call with my father,” he added.

Additionally, according to bank records acquired by Senators Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson, on August 8, 2017, CEFC sent $5 million to Hudson West III, a business held in partnership with Hunter.
The following year, allegedly $4.8 million of that sum was transferred to an account connected to Hunter’s personal business, Owasco.
The informants asserted that Hunter would have been charged with more serious offenses, such as campaign finance crimes and unlawful foreign lobbying, if the inquiry hadn’t been impeded.
They further said that the evidence reveals that the president was personally involved in and aware of Hunter’s dubious international dealings.
Newsmax Washington journalist James Rosen asked White House spokesman John Kirby about the mounting evidence that implies President Joe Biden knew more than he has previously admitted about Hunter Biden’s dubious business practices.
But Kirby remained silent and ultimately left the stage.

Karine Jean-Pierre, the press secretary for the White House, likewise declined to comment on whether Joe Biden was involved in his son’s business activities, just reiterating, “nothing has changed,” in the face of persistent questioning.

They have shifted from denying that the laptop even exists to blaming Hunter’s “horrible addiction” to simply refusing to comment and attempting to keep Joe Biden’s participation out of the conversation.
However, as more information comes in, it is getting harder for the White House and even the mainstream media to remain silent.
The walls are closing in on the Biden family.
