Gold Medal Winner Just Bashed Police Officers In Front Of The Entire World

After being the first black American to win a gold medal in a swimming competition, Simone Manuel was given a rare opportunity.  Manuel could have used this time to unify a divided country, but sadly, she took another road.

Unfortunately, she used her platform to speak about police in America, and it only took her one line to thoroughly embarrass our nation.

Entitled brats are wreaking havoc in our country, and they seem to fill the ranks of any demographic, position, or rank. Proving just that, the woman who was recently declared the first black American woman to win gold in an Olympic swimming competition has taken it upon herself to use her public platform to spew her political beliefs.

In Rio on August 11, Simone Manuel finished the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 52:70 and tied with 16-year-old Penny Oleksiak from Canada. The two both technically won and now share an Olympic record. Unfortunately, in an interview regarding her first place win, the American Olympian decided to go a little off topic – a little to the left, to be more precise.

“It means a lot, especially with what is going on in the world today, some of the issues of police brutality,” she said. “This win hopefully brings hope and change to some of the issues that are going on. My color just comes with the territory.”

With just one line, Manuel managed to embarrass the nation by displaying her ignorance and putting her entitlement mentality out for the world to see. Sadly, she wasn’t done there as she then went on to complain about the color of her skin.

“It is something I’ve definitely struggled with a lot,” Manuel said. “Coming into the race I tried to take [the] weight of the black community off my shoulders. It’s something I carry with me. I want to be an inspiration, but I would like there to be a day when it is not ‘Simone the black swimmer.’”

Clearly, she doesn’t know how ridiculous she sounds. After all, she’s currently getting all the attention that she is receiving solely on account of the color of her skin. If anything, you’d think she’d be thankful for it. Is Oleksiak making the same headlines for winning gold? No. Why? Because she wasn’t black.
