Kat Von D had a more in-depth conversation about her recent commitment to Christianity.

The 41-year-old tattoo artist, who rose to fame on the TLC show “LA Ink,” startled fans by abandoning her dark, morbid aesthetic and openly renouncing occult paraphernalia in her house. She posted a video of herself being baptized into the Christian faith on Instagram in early October.

Von D (Katherine von Drachenberg) spoke on BlazeTV host Allie Beth Stuckey’s podcast, “Relatable,” and stated that she had been a longtime listener. The reality star claimed she was using “New Age stuff” as “bandaids” and “crutches,” but she was never satisfied with them.

“When the lockdowns happened … [my husband Rafael Reyes] just said, ‘Hey, baby, I think we got it wrong. You know, I think we got a lot of things wrong,’” she said during the interview.

“You have to understand at the time … BLM was going hard,” Drachenberg told Stuckey. “I was in the middle of it. Like, I lived three doors down from the mayor of L.A., so we had Antifa, like, on our front yard, you know, after they threatened to do the Molotov cocktails and stuff like that. … So we were just, like, seeing things in real time, and they were much worse in real life than I think what people even put on TV.”

She continued:

“I started just kind of, like, re-evaluating, kind of going down the list of what I’m doing with my life. And it got to the part of my spirituality, and that’s where I started really rethinking a lot of things.”

Later, the tattoo artist stated that she began comparing the lives of friends who took drugs and dabbled in the occult to those of friends who practiced Christianity. That’s when she began to notice a difference.

“My husband and I, we look at a Rolodex of friends that we have, and the ones that are dictating their life through that, and they’re leading their life through that, and they’re making their decisions through tarot or, you know, some of the witchcraft stuff … they’re all so miserable,” Drachenberg said.

“They’re the most broke people. Usually, most of them are single; they don’t have stability — and I’m talking about both financial and the love around them, right? There’s always this drama and dread and doom and gloom,” she continued. “I was one of them, you know. … I would look around at my Christian friends, and I’m like, they’re not perfect by any means, but I want what you have, you know? Like, I love the light that you have.”

Drachenberg stated that she was pleased with the adjustments she made.

“I feel like I’m the best wife and the best mother I can be now because of the changes that I’ve had. I mean … it’s like a deprogramming has taken place. Things that I used to find attractive are disgusting to me, you know? And it’s like, I wish I could put into words like how amazing those changes are,” she said.

 

This is why Jesus is so beautiful.

He saves people right where they are.

People think they must come to Him without sin, but Jesus comes to them—in their sin.

I cannot tell you how utterly miserable I was before Jesus came into my life.

Now this tattoo artist knows it too!

I wish more people would see that you don’t have to dress in a suit and tie to know Him. He knew who we all were before we were even born.

Now she will, out of love for Christ, tell what He is doing in her life.
